- The news about the ban of Manchester City by UEFA for two straight seasons over financial irregularities broke a few hours ago
- Football fans all over the world are still shocked following the news report
- The English Premier League defending champions should know who to blame for their current travails
Following the ban, Manchester City will not feature in the UEFA Champions League even if they finish among the top four teams in the English Premier League this season or next season.
Some football analysts believe one of these three categories of people should be blamed for Man City’s current travails.
The Cityzens manager, Pep Guardiola; The Board and management of the club and then the scouting agents of Manchester City should either be directly or indirectly held responsible.
Goal reports that Man City issued a statement following the ban as follows:
“Manchester City is disappointed but not surprised by today’s announcement by the UEFA Adjudicatory Chamber.
“The Club will pursue an impartial judgment as quickly as possible and will therefore, in the first instance, commence proceedings with the Court of Arbitration for Sport at the earliest opportunity.”
