- Redknapp who had a great spell with Tottenham before poor results started setting in, opines that Jurgen Klopp and his boys will not find it easy.
According to Chizo Obaze, Redknapp thinks the Reds could be in for a tough game today and has backed Mauricio Pochettino’s side to get a positive result.
“When I look at the team (Spurs), they are full of good players everywhere,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.
“Big game for Tottenham – they have been out of form, but dangerous opposition for Liverpool.
“I think they have got the players. They are going through a bad spell but they will come out of that.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if it started on Sunday (against Liverpool at Anfield).”
The Reds are the only undefeated top-flight team this season and remain above Manchester City, but were held to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford last weekend.
Spurs are also expected to have Dele Ali back fit, and both Harry Kane and Son Heung-min managed to get on the scoresheet on Tuesday.
Redknapp was manager when Spurs won 2-0 at Anfield and he described the atmosphere at the stadium as special.
“Any game at Anfield is a special game, because for me there is nowhere in the country where the atmosphere is like Liverpool.
“When that crowd sing, for me it is the most moving place to be in football.”
Chizo Obaze reports.
