Arsenal Football Club of England want Alex Iwobi to put pen to paper for a new contract before Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup begins.
The Super Eagles player just signed a deal last year.
The London club are doing all they could to reach a new term with the young Nigerian footballer before he is called to action for the munidal in Russia next year.
The 21-year-old Iwobi still has another three years left on his current deal at the end of the season.
The management of the Premier League side is interested to reward the playmaker with a better and new contract offer, Daily Post learnt
According to SunSport, negotiations have commenced between Arsenal and Iwobi’s representatives.
The young football player signed a five-year deal worth £30,000-a-week in October last year, however any fresh terms have to show the improvement made in the last one year.
